I can't even remember what I contacted the Hacienda about (some story in the NME which said they were giving *something* out!), but in any case I got this letter and the card below in response!
Strangely enough, when I was going through my cuttings a week or so ago, I briefly skim-read a press article in NME, MM or Sounds where you could send off for a free item from The Haçienda. I'll be beggared if a) I can remember what the item was or b) where I filed the article. Typical!
I think I scanned the article, along with numerous others. I'll have a search through and report back if I find it. It might jog your memory and you may be able to confirm if that was the item you unsuccessfully tried to obtain.
The only thing that really sticks in the mind as coming from the Haç in the 1980s was the Christmas flexi. I know that was given away at the club on a Xmas Eve, but I guess there was a possibility that one could send off for a copy afterwards.

It wasn't the flexi, that I know for sure. Any light you could shed would be interesting!
