 You’ve been through a lot of stylistic changes, were you afraid to commit yourself or what?

“But I always wrote songs. Joy Division to me are much more of a riff group. I would take the bassline of ‘She's Lost Control' but would have ten different parts where they had only one riff. It was much more flowery, much more psychedelic because the bass was completely removed from the drums. ‘Knife' is a bit like that."
